About this listen
From the New York Times bestselling author of Part of Your World comes a romantic comedy full of "fierce humor and fiercer heart" about how one adorable puppy brings together two perfect strangers (Casey McQuiston, NYT bestselling author of Red, White & Royal Blue).
Artist Sloan Monroe just can't seem to get her life on track. But one trouble-making pup who randomly jumps into her car with a "take me home" look in his eyes is about to change everything. With Tucker by her side, Sloan finally starts to feel more like herself. Then, after weeks of unanswered texts, Tucker's owner reaches out. He's a musician on tour in Australia. And bottom line: He wants Tucker back.
Well, Sloan's not about to give up her dog without a fight. But what if this Jason guy really loves Tucker? As their flirty texts turn into long calls, Sloan can't deny a connection. Jason is hot and nice and funny. There's no telling what could happen when they meet in person. The question is: With his music career on the rise, how long will Jason really stick around? And is it possible for Sloan to survive another heartbreak?

Kristen Petersen doesn't do drama, will fight to the death for her friends, and has no room in her life for guys who just don't get her. She's also keeping a big secret: facing a medically necessary procedure that will make it impossible for her to have children. Planning her best friend's wedding is bittersweet for Kristen - especially when she meets the best man, Josh Copeland. He's funny, sexy, never offended by her mile-wide streak of sarcasm, and always one chicken enchilada ahead of her hangry. Even her dog, Stuntman Mike, adores him. The only catch: Josh wants a big family.

Rosie Belmont has been driving me wild for years. The good kind of wild. The bad kind of wild. But mostly the kind of wild that comes with wanting your best friend’s little sister and knowing you can’t have her. After living in the city, she comes blasting back into Rose Hill like a storm. Beautiful, messy, and chaotic. And one wide-eyed desperate plea for a job is all it takes for me to hire her.

Almost Great
The first half very cute, an excellent balance between grief and happiness. If the book continued and bilt on that storyline, as a feel good book, it'd be great.
However, in the second half, the authour chose to inject conflict in contrived ways, an Achilles heel of romcoms. When the plot isn't exciting enough, simple miscommunication or subterfuge is the fallback plan..
Overall, the book is still very enjoyable and is worth reading if you like the authour.
The performance is good; Zachary Webber is the GOAT for male voices. Erin Mallon did well with the female voices, but lacks range and differentiation between characters.
Note, the first book in the series, The Friend Zone, is required reading. However, in general, I do not recommend that book and gave it a 1-star review.

A beautiful book
This was a wonderful book.
This book created tears left and right. Happy tears, sad tears and angry tears.😢😥
Make sure you have tissues when you listen to this.
Two thumbs up Abby.👍👍
The narration was perfect. These two are my absolute favorite narrators, together and on their own.
This story may not have be a true story but the grief that is caused by losses is true. I can relate with this and all I can say is if you are grieving seeking help is the bravest and strongest thing you could do for yourself. Do it for yourself. Best to you all.

Healing and Love
Jason is a swoon-worthy hero, my new book-boyfriend. Sloan is a bad-a** heroine, and I loved her. There were times I wanted to shake her, but at the same time I completely understood where she was coming from. These two together are magic, from the start of the story to the end. This is a couple that I absolutely want to see again. I love that Tucker (dog) was such a huge part of this story – he was adorable. The secondary characters added sparks and spice to the story and they were used to great effect. I love when an author brings characters from previous books in the same series/world.
I loved the premise and the story lived up to it. It has very poignant moments, those that are heart warming and those that are hilarious. For anyone who’s dealing with grief, you’ll need a box of Kleenex. It’ll pull you down that familiar road, BUT and this is the most important thing of all, it’ll also give you hope and make you realize that there is something on the other side of the darkness known as grief.
I highly recommend this book. It’s the 2nd one of Jimenez that I’ve read (and in typical me fashion, they are not from the same series and in the case of this book, wasn’t in order). I’m actually glad that I haven’t read the first book yet – it is on my September TBR.
I listened to this on audio and the narrators were awesome. They did a great job changing their voices for the various characters they were speaking for.

What a Wonderful Story
Abby has hit this book right out of the park. The highs and lows of the music industry and of life, at home or on the road. It certainly is Happy Ever After with a few bumps along the way.A great story you should pick up today. You won’t regret it.
