NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

Jane Hawk’s one-woman war comes to an explosive climax as the rogue FBI agent gambles everything against a terrifying conspiracy, for vengeance, for justice, and for humanity’s freedom - from the author of The Silent Corner.

“Jane Hawk is arguably the best character Koontz has created.... Simply put, wow.” - Associated Press

A visionary young filmmaker hunted for sport across a vast Colorado ranch by the celebrated billionaire at the heart of a monstrous cabal....

A brilliant computer hacker slipping through top-secret databases a whisper ahead of security trackers, gathering the facts to fight the all-powerful perpetrators of mass murder....

A pair of brutal operators, methodically shadowing their targets with every cutting-edge tool in the arsenal of today’s surveillance state....

A sequence of quiet heroes - everyday citizens - stepping up, stepping forward, intent on countering the advancing darkness....

A Vegas mob boss teamed with a homicidal sociopath, circling a beloved boy and his protectors, aiming to secure him as leverage against his fugitive mother...

And that fugitive mother herself, ex-agent Jane Hawk, closing in on the malevolent architects of ruin she has stalked as they stalk her, prepared to sacrifice herself to finally bring them down.

These are the people and circumstances of The Night Window, the thrilling novel in Dean Koontz’s acclaimed Jane Hawk series. Replete - and then some - with the ingenious twists, the spellbinding action, the resonant themes, the sheer heart that have characterized Jane’s journey from the start, The Night Window follows its extraordinary heroine to her long-sought objective, in a stunning, unforgettable finale.

All 5 books are a gripping & gratifying trip!

Wow! A memorable female lead, incredible storytelling!! A scarily near-plausible premise. Each book ended with a cliffhanger that led to another and another until the unpredicted finale!

Highly recommend

Enjoyed the whole series, strong female character( s),. Plot lines kept me guessing.
On a side note I kept thinking throigh the series on how with the Qanon conspiracy theories these days it's a wonder this series isn't on their "reading * list lol.

The Story is grioping

I'm sad that this might be the last we hear of Jane Hawke. From Book 1 to Book 5 I have been held captive, happily. The narrator Elizabeth Rodgers is very very good, the way she speaks for the characters it just so believable. If you haven't read this series you must!

Jane Hawk best character ever by Koontz!

I read all 5 books in a week! I couldn’t stop listening. Edge of your seat action from start to end. If you haven’t read them, DO! But make sure you start with book 1 and read them in order. You won’t be sorry. I would have loved a tv series out of these books!

A fitting end to the saga

While we spend far too much time in the minds of shallow, arrogant people, and the author indulged his love of scenic descriptions, the final book brought the story to a satisfactory, if somewhat predictable, conclusion. The fourth book revealed the flaw in the villains' plan, so it was just a question of how to get there. This would make a chilling mini-series.

Great premise but suffers from long introspective soliloquys.

I loved the main character and the concept, but the book (and others in the series) suffered from a lack of editing. The long, tiresome, moralistic soliloquys were annoying. We get it that the main character is struggling with her conscious and with her choices. The long passages about freedoms, patriotic duty, and the dangers of technology are excessive. also excessive was the tedious details about clothing and shoe brands and specific gun types. The author seemed obsessed about establishing how much research he had done and wanting to share every little fact in excruciating detail.
This series could have been shortened into 2 or 3 books instead of 4, and 1/3 of the unnecessary detail and seques. I can only guess that there is more money in more words? Tightening things up would take a good book and make it great.
The one steller feature was the narrator. she was great with an easy to listen to voice and good differentiation between character voices.
