Kirsten Quinn-Kovacks is among the best and brightest of her people. She gratefully serves the gentle race that rescued her ancestors from a dying starship, gave them a world, and nurtures them still. If only the Citizens knew where Kirsten's people came from.

Struggled for two months and gave up
I should have read the description and reviews before buying. I loved the Ringworld book, and bought this based only on the title.
I was expecting a prequel about the builders of the ringworld, but in fact it’s a continuation of the original book, where the same characters play detective on the ringworld finding information about the builders.
I found this story very slow and tedious, forcing myself to listen once in a while, trying to make it through to the end, but finally gave up with 4 hours to go.
At least I have three credits now!

long and boring part 2
I bought all 3 books to see if it goes anywhere but this is anticlimactic. He took a great idea and made it almost mundane.No connection /depth to characters. Boring, I just want to return/exchange all 3
