"Two terrific female characters, both with secrets. Add Michael Robotham's clean prose and whipcrack pacing. The result? A book you won't be able to put down, although you may occasionally want to hide your eyes" (Stephen King)
"Robotham doesn't just make me scared for his characters, he makes my heart ache for them." (Linwood Barclay)
"Superbly exciting...." (Guardian)

Fantastic narration
The story was quite suspenseful and the character development was very well done. I felt empathy with all of the main characters. For me, it was the narrator that really made this book excellent. She really gave the characters life. I love it when the narrator lets you forget you are really only listening to one person.

Hard to listen to
From the start, I found too many of the characters unlikeable, making it a difficult listen, though the dislike for Aggie decreased somewhat as the book went on.
I didn’t care for the performance of Aggie or her monster (which almost made me stop listening). The plot was predictable.
Not nearly as good as other books I’ve read by this author.
