About this listen
The Slight Edge is a way of thinking, a way of processing information that enables you to make the daily choices that will lead you to the success and happiness you desire. Learn why some people make dream after dream come true, while others just continue dreaming and spend their lives building dreams for someone else. It's not just another self-help motivation tool of methods you must learn in order to travel the path to success. It shows you how to create powerful results from the simple daily activities of your life, by using tools that are already within you.
In this 8th anniversary edition you'll hear not only the life-changing concepts of the original book, but also learn what author Jeff Olson discovered as he continued along the slight edge path: the Secret to Happiness and the Ripple Effect.
This edition of The Slight Edge isn't just the story, but also how the story continues to create life-altering dynamics—how a way of thinking, a way of processing information, can impact daily choices that will lead you to the success and happiness you desire. The Slight Edge is "the key" that will make all the other how-to books and self-help information that you read, watch and hear actually work.

We are living in the Wild West of college sports. Name, Image and Likeness endorsements, the transfer portal, collectives, conference realignment, the powerful influence of media companies have all rendered the notion of amateur athletics a quaint relic of the past, replaced by a Brave New World where money and self-interest rule. The Price is a sweeping, in-depth, thought-provoking look at an inflection point in big-time college football.

Why is Red Bull so popular, though everyone—everyone!—hates the taste? Humans are, in a word, irrational, basing decisions as much on subtle external signals (that little blue can) as on objective qualities (flavor, price, quality). The surrounding world, meanwhile, is irreducibly complex and random. This means future success can’t be projected on any accounting spreadsheet. To strike gold, you must master the dark art and curious science of conjuring irresistible ideas: alchemy.

Normal thinking leads to normal results. For exceptional results, traders must think differently. This book will guide and inspire you in ways no other trading book has. It is not about strategies and money management. It is about mind management. Tom Hougaard provides a unique and refreshingly personal account of how an ordinary trader elevated his game to incredible heights by focusing as much on his mental approach as on his technical analysis. Best Loser Wins explains how you, by thinking differently when you are trading, can elevate your game from mediocre to excellent.

Not ground breaking but solid
nothing new here for anyone who’s into self help books but i still found every chapter a good reminder for me. Warning it does feel very repetitive but instead of being annoyed by it i leaned into it almost like a meditation. okay maybe that’s not what’s i mean. but i felt hearing the same messages over and over are a good way to really drive it into my brain rather than a bad thing. Basically the whole message of the book is consistency over time equals compound results.

I've read almost all of them. This is the most fluent, salient and simple book. Filled with the wisdom you need to take the reigns of your life and steer it towards your realized dreams. Can affirm. Practicing slight edge principles has been a game changer in my life... simply never called it that. ✨

What a waste of time
Same old drivel. Big secret: Compound interest. And using that concept as a metaphor for all aspects of your life. Good enough message, for sure...a little change now will have compounding effects for you later. BUT he says nothing else new for 5 chapters. (That's when I bailed - couldn't handle the repetitive message continuously packaged like it's a new revelation... every time he brings it up.)
"The book is great." "Changed my life." "I can do it, you can do it." Over and over AND OVER again. We've already bought the book, stop selling it already and say something useful.
Even if you could benefit from the lesson, and we all can, it's HOURS of repetition...saying nothing new.
Oh wait!... maybe the NEXT chapter...
