About this listen

In the latest rollicking adventure in the Magic 2.0 series, it’s time for the teenagers to show the adults how wizardry really works.

Mattie and Brewster are normal, typical 16-year-old twins who live with their normal, boring parents: Martin and Gwen Banks. Normal and boring, that is, until the day their father's best friend shows up at their house - dressed in what appears to be a bathrobe.

The next thing Mattie and Brewster know, their parents are frozen like human statues in their living room, the guy in the bathrobe has vanished, and they need to find answers - fast.

The twins set off on a quest to discover the truth of their parents' lives. Along the way they find secrets, lies, magic, time travel, strange new friends, stranger new enemies, and a really weird dirigible (which, they're told repeatedly, is not a blimp). It is a twisted and bizarre trail that, they hope, will lead them to the man they blame for their parents' peril:

Phillip.

WOW!

I. Couldn't. Stop. Listening! It was what you would expect, from the view point of 2 new characters on the seen.

Recaptured the energy from the previous books

I found that this captured the fun of previous books of this series. I got through it so quickly. looking forward to the next book.

It's okay

the last book was definitely better than the woke garbage that had come right before that. This installment is nowhere close to the genius of the original book though.
I should have stopped on book 4, which was a solid 4/5

The best installment yet!

My favourite of the books, so far! Meyer continues to perfect his style of humor and story telling and Daniels continues to provide fantastic narration.

Fun and well performed

This story is a little sillier than the previous ones...if that's even possible. It was good but certainly not my favorite of the series.

Write more please.

Love the fun. Want more.
Each book is uniquely fun and enjoyable. Would rather a more respectful approach to religion. It is not about robbing the poor and being shady. It’s about bettering ourselves with the example of Christ. But the rest is good.
Thanks.

Awesome story with some humours references.

At first I did have trouble with some of the voices but as the story went it got easier to listen too to their tones speak. Found the overall very captivating story and being into computers and using macros I could totally relate to how a programmer could easilly set this up. I also enjoyed the humours tv references in the spells.

Oddly I've heard this book first so I'll be reading/hearing the other books next. Highly recommend this audio book.

Starts slow but gets better

Martin and Gwen had kids and moved back to the modern world. As always some wizard(s) go nuts and the other wizards have to save the world from them. Pretty much all the stories in the series go like that. But like all the books there is some interesting twists and humour. The book started slow and predictable and I was forming a negative opinion of it but it started to pick up a quarter of the way through and I ended up enjoying it. While this book stands alone, I think it is more enjoyable if you have read the others and know the secondary characters. They don't get much time in this one, and knowing their back stories adds depth their smaller parts.
