Publisher's Summary

The war on the zombies hasn't gone as expected. The army has been split into three parts, with Tommy and Duncan leading the charge through the southwest while John and Charlie deal with a problem that threatens the security of the entire campaign and the rest of the country. And all the while, a massive horde of zombies is moving its way across the plains, on a collision course with the survivors that will end only when one of them falls down for good.

Love it.

I enjoy the narration in the entire series and the story is a good solid action story. No boring deep dives into feelings, characters are real and only reveal small details as needed to reinforce and continue the story. I really appreciate an author that slowly adds layers to the characters instead of rambling on with character descriptions for chapters.
Anyone that criticizes the "depth" of the characters can't have much imagination or have faced any true life or death situations.
I look forward to more titles from this author and narrator.

A fine conclusion

Sad that it's over, but it's a good end to the series.
The epilogue near had me in tears
