DI Nikki Galena gets a series of anonymous calls. She is told the place, time, and who will die. But the messages are in a secret language used only by villains. Nikki and her team must decode the riddles and work out where the threats are coming from.
Meanwhile, the fens have been hit by a series of "designer burglaries". It appears that a new gang of thieves are stealing to order. And things get very close to home when a friend of Nikki's mother dies suddenly and, perhaps, suspiciously.

Havent read a book yet that doesn't compel you to keep reading. Hard to put the book down even for a minute. The author builds her cast of characters with each book so they become a family. Can't wait to read the next.one!

YAY! There are secrets!
Thieves on the Fens, written by Joy Ellis and narrated by Henrietta Meire, was a fantastic story, from every twist to every turn! I loved the espionage bits especially, and, yay, there are secrets! Now I must be on to Book 9: Fire on the Fens!

Excellent story
Look forward to listening to the Nikki Galena stories each night. The narrator actually does a really good job, Rory just doesn't sound right and he is one of the best characters.

Always a pleasure to ready!
Such a great series, make sure you listen to them in order. Most stories are independent but because of the overlap with Ellis other novels, you can get caught up in a spoiler, here or there.

Great listen
Another great story by Joy Ellis and as always a great narration by H. Meire. As usual Nikki Galena and her crew work fantastically well together on another crime solving mystery.

Another Enjoyable Autobook
Another mystery for DI Nikki Galena. Her mom becomes involved in this mystery making it more difficult for Nikki. There is many twists and turns to keep the reader/listener engaged in the story. I have fallen in love with the DI Nikki Galena stories. The stories are fast paced and easy listening/reading. I recommend Joy Ellis books . The narrator Henrietta Miere is wonderful.
