About this listen
Brought to you by Penguin.
Every time we eat, we have the power to radically transform the world we live in.
Our choices can help alleviate the most pressing issues we face today: the climate crisis, infectious and chronic diseases, human exploitation and, of course, non-human exploitation. Undeniably, these issues can be uncomfortable to learn about, but the benefits of doing so cannot be overstated. It is quite literally a matter of life and death.
Through exploring the major ways that our current system of animal farming affects the world around us, as well as the cultural and psychological factors that drive our behaviours, This Is Vegan Propaganda answers the pressing question, is there a better way?
Whether you are a vegan already or curious to learn more, this book will show you the other side of the story that has been hidden for far too long. Based on years of research and conversations with slaughterhouse workers and farmers, to animal rights philosophers, environmentalists and everyday consumers, vegan educator and public speaker Ed Winters will give you the knowledge to understand the true scale and enormity of the issues at stake.
This Is Vegan Propaganda is the empowering and ground-breaking book on veganism that everyone, vegan and sceptic alike, needs to hear.

Carnism causes extensive animal suffering and global injustice, and it drives us to act against our own interests and the interests of others without fully realizing what we are doing.

Great book!
I’m a new vegan and I found this book very informative and helpful in covering all of the key arguments a vegan is often faced with from skeptics. Ed is truly a pioneer of the vegan movement and is a great example in how to kindly and intelligently share our viewpoint with others. Definitely recommend. Will be listening again and again.

Went vegan because of Ed
I went vegan a year before this book came out because of Ed Winters on Youtube making videos talking to pedestrians on the street about why people should be vegan. I listened to all the reasons they gave for eating meat and couldn't agree with them, then I talked to my friends about it, some got immediately defensive and uptight about it and tried to defend it as you see in those videos, I just knew I couldn't continue allowing the suffering and exploitation of animals on my behalf.
This book has helped me talk to many more people with confidence and provide factual arguments,
Ed Winter's personal story with his connection with veganism is very inspiring.
I'll probably listen to this book a few more times :)

This is a book that must be read
This is Vegan Propaganda explains with scientific evidence and studies the way that animal agriculture is impacting the planet, our lives, and everything. I recommend that you read this book even if you are not interested in veganism. Personally, the content of this book reinforces the path that I have chosen.

Great, informative novel!
This book by Ed Winters is amazing for the average person who would like to know more about veganism and the arguments for it! To be honest, after reading this book, there are almost too many to count.
My one possible complaint with this book is that Ed does speak very quickly. I am a person who usually speeds audiobooks up and there were moments that I almost wished to speed this one down, but that is an option.
Definitely recommend this read!

Fantastic
Well thought out and reasoned. Lots of reasons to go vegan! Gives me talking points for those that say “where do you get your protein” which is always the first question. Great job Ed!!

Excellent listen that everyone should hear.
Everyone should read/listen this book. If you consume animal products you should understand what your actions represent. Even if you don’t agree with veganism you should still understand how your lifestyle contributes to the world at large.

Veganism is Not a Fad!
This is a sensitive topic(Veganism). Although, the truth needs to be told. Read this book, and any other that gives you all the information. Capitalism and commodification is ruining the only planet we have! Veganism is not an option it's a necessity!
