About this listen
Sequestered in the blackness of the dreaded Tower of High Sorcery in Palanthas, surrounded by nameless creatures of evil, Raistlin Majere weaves a plan to conquer the darkness - to bring it under his control.
Crysania, a beautiful and devoted cleric of Paladine, tries to use her faith to lead Raistlin from the darkness. She is blind to his shadowed designs, and he draws her slowly into his neatly woven trap.
Made aware of Raistlin’s plan, a distraught Caramon travels back in time to the doomed city of Istar in the days before the Cataclysm. There, together with the ever-present kender Tasslehoff, Caramon will make his stand to save Raistlin’s soul.
Or so he believes.

Story
Is Raistlin truly dead? The answer lies in the new Dragonlance novella by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman, which gazes into the future of Caramon and his mage-son, and into the dark nether-past of Raistlin. Tales of sea monsters, dark elves, ice bears, hideous hydra-headed serpents, and loathsome draconian troops.
Further adventures of the kender Tas; the innkeepr Otic and young Tika; the dwarf Flint and Tanis, leader of the companions; Caramon and Raistlin, twin brothers, one, a genial warrior, the other, a sickly magician and scholar.

Enthralling story.
This legends trilogy is great for fans of the original trilogy that want more. Not all the characters are here, but the story was always kinda about Raistlin anyway.
Here you get just enough hints into just what goes through Raistlin's mind that by the end of this story you'll immediately want to get into the next one.
The narrator is great too. He makes the conversations feel pretty natural, he makes the serious parts sound badass, and he makes the funny parts funny. Good job.

I have always loved this classic story it is written beautifully
The narrator mispronounced a lot of the names, and didn’t seem to know where the inflection should be. That kind of took me out of the story.

Horrible narration. All but ruins a wonderful story.
Gets a main characters names wrong the entire story. The worst is he can’t say Tas yet pronounces his full name right. Horrible very horrible never should have used him. Tone never changes. On a personal note I received the first 3 books as a set for Christmas then the next year this trilogy also as a set from my grandparents a very fond memories. It was difficult to listen to this book so badly done to what to me is a very personal story.
