Public relations has always been an essential part of doing business which is probably why you're shelling out big money to an outside PR firm. But the truth is that you don't need them. You already have all the necessary tools in-house to do as good a job as the so-called experts. Landing public relations coverage for yourself and your company is a powerful tool to help elevate your personal brand. PR is easier to generate, leverage, and is more effective than marketing. In other words, public relations is more critical than ever in growing your brand and your business.

However, being a 10X entrepreneur is nothing like what most people think.

Story
Years ago, after suffering a humiliatingly large dumb tax, it dawned on me that I have a seemingly unlimited ability to hit unforced errors and sabotage my business and financial success. I suspect you do, too. It turns out that the key to getting rich (and staying that way) is to avoid doing stupid things. I don't need to do more smart things. I just need to make fewer dumb mistakes. The vast majority of our dumb tax is a direct result of emotional, overly optimistic, and poorly thought out decisions.

Finite games, like football or chess, have known players, fixed rules, and a clear endpoint. The winners and losers are easily identified. Infinite games, games with no finish line, like business or politics, or life itself, have players who come and go. The rules of an infinite game are changeable, while infinite games have no defined endpoint. There are no winners or losers - only ahead and behind. The question is, how do we play to succeed in the game we’re in? In this revelatory new audiobook, Simon Sinek offers a framework for leading with an infinite mindset.

Excellent and consice read
To the point and filled with great information. I've heard so many people talk about how finally writing down their vivid vision was key to accomplishing their most ambitious goals and now I'm ready to do the same. I've created vivid visions in the past based on Cameron's ted talk. But the examples in the book as well as the detailed planning process definitely help do a better job. Great read.

Rads as a self-promotion
"Trust me."
Cameron iterates this throughout the novel, but aside from selling with stories provides little empirical evidence of the validity of this approach, making claims like, "Mission statements don't work."
Okay. But... where's the research?
Am I still going to try this method? 100%. The content itself is interesting enough. And I don't doubt many of his clients have had success.
But for inherent sceptics, like engineers, this might be a painful listen.
The narrator was great. Good pace. Clear voice. Enthusiastic.

Shallow on "tool" development, Deep on results.
The author discusses at length his personal success and how to use the "Tool" but is short on how to built and create one yourself - going so far as to mention that you can rough it out and have someone else do it for you. Most of it reads like a sales and promotional tool for the author himself.
