About this listen

Twenty-two-year-old Ivy Morgan isn't your average college student. She, and others like her, know that humans aren't the only thing trolling the French Quarter for fun... and for food. Her duty to the Order is her life. Four years ago, she lost everything at the hands of the creatures she'd sworn to hunt, tearing her world and her heart apart.

Ren Owens is the last person Ivy expected to enter her rigidly controlled life. He's six feet and three inches of temptation and swoon-inducing charm. But letting him in is as dangerous as hunting the cold-blooded killers that are stalking the streets. As Ivy grows closer to Ren, she realizes that she's not the only one who's carrying secrets that could shatter the frail bond between them. She is no longer sure which is more dangerous to her - the ancient beings threatening to take over the town or the man demanding to lay claim to her heart and her soul.

Slow but good

Slow start, but back ground needed. Sweet love story with gradual progression to drama and passion. Loved Tink. Quirky character, with light hearted, humorous banter. Cliffhanger ending!

Great book

I loved this book so much! I did only give the performance 4/5 because her voice for Ren was pretty off and a bit distracting, it was still good overall though.

Slow but decent

It was a little slow at the beginning, it picks up around the middle, I loved the romance bits and the revelation and twist at the end. It captured my attention enough for me to go for the second book, I do recomend it but have patience.

Not bad

Initially, I started off hating ren. I think he’s decently sweet though he became less arrogant throughout the book. Tink wasn’t bad. He was kind of funny but at the same time I can’t really overlook all that he’s done unfortunately I also guessed the plot twists, but not a bad listen. I definitely do recommend

it's YA

narrator is not particularly good with the male characters. her voicing of them makes them seem ponderous and unintelligent. the main character is well voiced.

Soooo Good

When I first started listening to it I wasn’t that invested in it as it was a bit slow starting but once you got past that it gets so good. I’m on the second book now and can’t put it down.

Good read/listen!

I really loved the characters, especially Tink. The book was fun spicy and had some good conflicting emotion.

I love it! Funny, sweet & spicy!

I found myself giggling throughout this book I loved the bantering between her & Tink actually everything about their roommate situation was just to funny.

The first little bit was kinda slow for me but I loved the walking dead & supernatural references!!

The love interest was cute and sweet & spicy which I loved!

The best friend was predictable & so was the twist at the end but I still really enjoyed it and will definitely be going onto the next book!

The story line was ok, loved Rens character

its so hard to find a good female heroine. Ivy is attractive and has a kind heart but I think she is lacking brains. how can you betray someone without even thinking just cause you can't keep your mouth shut. or at least choose carefully who you tell stuff. and don't trust people blindly on top of that shebis just suicidal throughout the whole thing she just keep making bad decision with all her words and actions

Bizarre

I enjoyed the overall story... but I didn’t appreciate the apparent confusion over whether this was fantasy or erotica. I will not be listening to more by this author
