Position Overview
The School of Social Work at Massey University - Te Kunenga ki Pūrehuroa, strives to enhance the well-being of people, whānau and communities by contributing to the development of professional social work.
The school is seeking applicants for ONE permanent ongoing position:
At the level of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer Range 1 in Social Work 1 FTE (37.5 hours) on the Manawatū campus.

Applicants for Lecturer are expected to:
Either possess a Doctoral degree or hold a Master of Social Work (or equivalent) and be engaged in Doctoral study.
Be a fully Registered Social Worker with a practicing certificate who can teach in the degree programmes and courses offered by the School of Social Work
Demonstrate your commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
Demonstrate excellence in Tertiary teaching including online delivery
Have a developing portfolio of research publications and research plan
Have experience supervising research students
Demonstrate excellent teamwork and self-management skills
Applicants for Snr Lecturer Range 1 are expected to:
To possess a Doctoral degree
Be a fully Registered Social Worker with a practicing certificate who can teach in the degree programmes and courses offered by the School of Social Work
Demonstrate your commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
Demonstrate excellence in Tertiary teaching including online delivery
Have an established portfolio of research publications and research plan and platform.
Have experience supervising research students including PhD candidates
Demonstrate excellent teamwork and self-management skills
The appointee's research and teaching specialisations should complement and reinforce the school's existing strengths.
Salary Range for position:
At the level of Lecturer $81,172 - $103,595 based on skills and experience.
At the level of Senior Lecturer Range 1 $101,724 - $125,266 based on skills and experience.
