In this episode, our host Jacob Jones sits down with Earl Kapule – a solar industry veteran with almost a decade of experience. Earl has gained a reputation for his unique approach towards sales, which is rooted in having a gratitude mindset. During the podcast, Earl shares his top tips on staying positive even when you're faced with constant rejection. Tip 1: Shift your perspective - Earl believes that when it comes to negativity and rejection, you really have to get good at flipping the script in your mind. One of the things that he learned when he first started out in solar was that every "no" is closer to a "yes". "Getting 'no's' by saying every no is closer to a yes, just makes that situation a little bit more positive and makes you want to actually go out there and do it just because you shifted the perspective," says Earl. Tip 2: Positive in, Positive out – Earl attributes his success to constant self-improvement and listening to positive messages, books, and podcasts. He believes in the mantra “positive in, positive out”. “So if I'm gonna listen to music, it's uplifting music. If I'm gonna listen to a podcast, it's gonna be about sales. It's gonna be about positivity and how to rewire my subconscious so that I can better take rejection,” says Earl. Tip 3: Find happiness in the simplest things - Earl's journey started in Hawaii, where he grew up surrounded by drugs, crime, and domestic violence. His past experiences have taught him that finding joy in the smallest things can make a big impact. Earl believes that when you find happiness in the simplest moments of life, you're able to cultivate an attitude of gratitude, which translates into a positive mindset. If you're looking to boost your sales game and learn how to stay positive even when the going gets tough, then this is an episode that you don't want to miss.
