We all have our burdens to bear in life. Some struggle with physical or emotional burdens, while others are just trying to put bread on the table. It’s not like in times past when we all walked around carrying heavy packs on our shoulders, but it sure can feel like that sometimes. In his message today, Pastor Ken teaches you that Jesus bore your ultimate burden when He died on the cross. He took the load of sin off your shoulders and placed it on His own. It was there on the cross where He died in your place.

The amount of financial debt in the world today is crazy to think about. There’s NO WAY that it could ever be settled. Unfortunately, the majority of Americans are no exception to this, but carry their own personal debts, that most will never be able to pay. In today’s message, Pastor Ken reminds you that Jesus was the only one who could satisfy the debt of sin owed by humanity. He was the only one who could pay the debt that you owed. He gave Himself as a sacrifice to pay the penalty for your sin.

We can get overly familiar with the sacrifice God made when He sent Jesus to take our place, to take our sin on Himself, and submit to death on the cross. What would we think of an Earthly father who did that? A dad who sends his son to die in the place of a group of violent criminals? It’s unheard of. But Pastor Ken gives such good news today that God loves you so much, that He sent His Son to die in your place, to take the punishment that you deserved. And He did it because you’re worth it to Him.
