Kings and rulers; how does God deal with them? We’re going to look at first the Church because it says right here in:

“Blessed and Holy is the one….” That’s after the resurrection! So then:

• we are not only in the likeness of God

• we are in the Family of God

• we have been born again from the dead by the power of the resurrection

What our choices are to answer to the call of God is the key whether we become converted or not. We’re going to look at how God has dealt with those who have maybe not been converted, some of them converted, and we will look at how that will affect what we’re going to see starting on Monday this coming week. (speaking of the Presidential inauguration)

Verse 6: “Blessed and Holy is the one who has part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power…. [we will live forever] …But they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.”

Now that’s quite a statement, isn’t it? That’s the whole purpose of what we have in the knowledge and understanding of the Holy Days and what God wants us to do to grow in grace and knowledge to overcome, and so forth

Acts 15—This is the difficult Scripture. Remember that we covered in part two, Matt. 19 that they read that where Jesus told the young man to keep the Commandments and He listed all of them but He didn’t list the Sabbath so they say, ‘He didn’t list the Sabbath so we don’t have to keep it.’ Well, he didn’t list some others either, but He also said, ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’

Here in Acts 15 is quite a problem that they had. Most of the problems in the New Testament are not Catholic vs Protestant, but they are the Truth vs Judaism! Keep that in mind.

Now under the covenant with Israel, all males had to be circumcised on the eighth day. As things developed at the time coming down to Jesus’ time, they had a lot of Gentiles who wanted also to partake of the religion of the Jews.

The Gentiles, in order to attend the synagogue, had to be circumcised. This became a problem within the Church, because now Jesus gave the commandment for them to go into all nations and baptize all of them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Now that’s another difficult Scripture, but that doesn’t give you the Trinity. We need to be baptized into the name of the Father because we’re going to be a son or daughter of God, and of Christ because His sacrifice makes it possible and of the Holy Spirit because that’s the begettal of eternal life!
