The author interviewed Françoise Dolto in 1986, after having visited La Maison Verte in Paris, a center Dr. Dolto had created for parents and children that mainly served to prepare children for greater lapses of time away from their parents and the early kindergarten experience.

On the level of the collective unconscious, this study shows, the historical transition from matriarchy to patriarchy has not taken place. Was geschah mit dem jungen Ellis Morton? Sein Halbbruder, Sir Peter Clapp-Rothe, spricht bei Sherlock Holmes vor und bittet ihn, in dieser Sache tätig zu werden. Angeblich stürzte Ellis vom Dach als er versuchte, einen Tennisball aus der Dachrinne zu fischen. Doch Ellis war komplett unsportlich, sogar aus gesundheitlichen Gründen nicht in der Lage, Sport zu treiben. Und schon gar nicht Tennis.
