Alors que Noël approche, Célestine a repéré, dans le grand parc enneigé, un tout petit sapin solitaire et un peu tordu, qui lui plaît beaucoup. Peut-être qu'au fond ils n'auraient pas dû s'approcher autant de Boléro, l'ancien instituteur devenu clochard... Car voilà qu'Ernest et Célestine ont attrapé des poux ! C'est d'abord Célestine qui a aperçu le premier. Mais bien vite, Ernest a été infesté aussi. Au début ça chatouille, et puis ensuite ça gratte, il y en a tant et tant... La vie sans poux, c'est quand même beaucoup mieux ! Une cabane qu’il faut prendre la peine de construire... Branle-bas de combat chez Ernest et Célestine : il faut accueillir Pétula, la tante d’Amérique, qui vient tout juste de s’annoncer au dernier moment ! Pas si simple dans leur modeste logis, mais Ernest est ravi : il va remuer ciel et terre pour recevoir la visiteuse avec faste. Ce qui n’est pourtant pas du goût de la petite Célestine : pourquoi se donner tant de peine, on se le demande, pour quelqu’un qui n’apporte jamais le moindre cadeau ? Mais évidemment, rien ne se passera comme on aurait pu se l’imaginer.
