La prima edizione di quest'opera risale al 1901, e da allora la parola lapsus fu quasi inevitabilmente trasformata in "lapsus freudiano". L'ipotesi dell'autore che ogni lapsus è una strategia dei pensieri inconsci per uscire allo scoperto e far breccia nella mente di chi li subisce viene illustrata da numerosi esempi. È così che una gaffe imbarazzante può diventare una vera risorsa per la conoscenza di se stessi. Conclude l'audiolibro un capitolo molto interessante in cui si parla anche della superstizione e dei déjà vu.

The Interpretation of Dreams is a book by psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud. The book introduces Freud's theory of the unconscious with respect to dream interpretation, and also first discusses what would later become the theory of the Oedipus complex.
