Hay ciertas imágenes que emanan de Después de la ira que provocan una desolación primigenia ligadas a esa gente estropeada, atrapada en un lugar en ruinas. En el centro del centro de la historia, mítica y bíblica a la vez, ruge la devastación. Esta es una gran novela.
