I had one job and one job only. Bring down the most notorious drug lord known to man. Dead or alive, that was it. As I worked the case more and more, the lines started getting blurred. I made enemies where I wasn’t supposed to and friends in places that would get me killed. Then I met her, at a bar in Brooklyn of all places. She became the one thing in my life that was a constant, the one thing that made the dark hole I was in, as bright as could be.

I should be proud of my heritage and wear it on my back with honor. I’ll honor my heritage, but I will not honor the path that is set out for me. The life that my father lives is not for me. I will do anything in my power to walk away from that life, and that apparently includes getting married in Vegas after a night of drinking.

From the age of three, I was obsessed with tutus, leotards, pointe shoes and everything that dancing had to offer. After years of hard work, sweat and tears, I finally was able to make the dreams of the little girl in me come true. Years later, I'm dancing for one of the most respected companies in the world, leaving out a dream and living the best life that I could have ever imagined. Everything was going according to how I'd mapped it out. Except . . .I hadn't mapped out two little blue lines skating into my life after a one-night stand.

Posting a "certain type" of pictures online is never a good idea. Especially when you’re the star player of your college football team. But I did it anyway. Never did I think that by posting my pictures online that I would find someone that I would actually be interested in. But I did. I saw her pictures, she commented on mine and the conversations were nonstop. She was the girl of my dreams and I wanted to meet her. Who knew that the girl of my dreams was the shy girl that sat next to me all semester.
