Liberty Thomas is a young girl who, for most of her life, has been abused by her parents and two neighborhood kids who enjoy picking on her. The only ones who show her love are her aunt, Rosemary, and a boy she meets in the woods one day. With God's and their help, love, and encouragement, she stays strong throughout the eight years of torture. She proves that she can rise above her circumstances and come out stronger than before.
