Traduzione italiana del celebre romanzo fantastico di Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (meglio noto sotto lo pseudonimo di Lewis Carroll) fatta dal suo amico Teodorico Pietrocola. La traduzione di Pietrocola in un italiano ottocentesco garbato e ironico ci restituisce l'atmosfera originale di questa famosa storia che tutti conosciamo spesso però solo attraverso vari adattamenti letterari, teatrali o cinematografici.

He was a mathematics teacher at Oxford for most of his career. He published several mathematics books as well as novels and poems. Dodgson was also a professional photographer and avid inventor.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is a 1865 novel written by English author Charles Lutwidge Dodgson penned under the pseudonym of Lewis Carroll. It tells the story of a little girl named Alice falling through a rabbit hole into a fantasy world populated by peculiar, anthropomorphic creatures. Many feel it is perhaps the very first psychedelic novel. One can certainly draw parallels with the eating of magic mushrooms and apparently hallucinating, yet still it is chiefly a beloved children’s story.

This is a dramatic adaptation of the boat trip on the Thames river of Charles Dodgson (Lewis Carrol), with a colleague, and the Liddell sisters, one of whom was Alice, that was attributed by the principals to have been the time when Dodgson hit upon the idea of having his hero go down a rabbit hole. He describes how the three sisters whose ages were seven, 10, and 13 responded to his story, and the play is a fictional rendering of it.

"The Hunting of the Snark: An Agony in 8 Fits" is usually thought of as a nonsense poem written by Lewis Carroll (Charles Lutwidge Dodgson) in 1874, when he was 42 years old. It describes with infinite humour the impossible voyage of an improbable crew to find an inconceivable creature. The poem borrows occasionally from Carroll's short poem "Jabberwocky" in "Through the Looking Glass" (especially the poem's creatures and portmanteau words), but it is a stand-alone work, first published in 1876 by Macmillan.
