"செல்வம் கொழிக்கும் துபாயில் தமிழர்கள் நிறைய பேர் பல்வேறு பணிகளில் இருக்கிறார்கள். இந்த நாவலின் நாயகனும் துபாயில் ஓர் அறையில் தங்கி வேலை பார்த்துக் கொண்டு இருக்கிறான். அது எது மாதிரியான வேலை என்பதும் அந்த வேலையின் காரணமாய் அவன் சந்திக்கும் பிரச்சினைகளுமே நாவலின் சுவாரஸ்யமான விஷயங்களாய் இருக்கின்றன. துபாய் போலீஸின் கெட்டிக்காரத்தனங்கள் இந்த நாவலில் கூடுதல் கவனத்தோடு சொல்லப்பட்டு இருப்பது கொலை தொடர்புக்கு அப்பால் நாவலுக்கு ஒரு ப்ளஸ் பாயிண்ட்."

ஒரு அன்பான கணவன், அழகான மனைவி, பூத்த மலர்களைப் போல் ஏழு வயதிலும், ஐந்து வயதிலும் இரண்டு பெண் குழந்தைகள். கணவன் ஒரு ப்ரொப்ஷனல் கில்லராகவும் இருந்து கொண்டு ஒரு அலுவலகத்தில் நல்ல வேலையையும் பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருந்தால் அந்த குடும்பத்தின் நிலைமை என்னவாகும் என்று சொல்கிறது இந்த சிவப்பாய் சில புள்ளிகள்.

சாஃப்ட்வேர் தொழில் நுட்பத்தில் ஒரு பயோட்ரூத் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது. அந்த உன்னதமான உண்மை, தீய சக்திகளின் கைகளுக்கு போய்விடக்கூடாதே என்பதற்காக டெல்லியில் சில சம்பவங்களும், மயிலாப்பூரில் ஒரு சாதாரண நடுத்தரக்குடும்பத்தில் நடக்கும் சம்பவங்களும் விபரீதம் நிறைந்தவையாக உள்ளன. நள்ளிரவு வானவில் தோன்றுவது என்பது சாத்தியம் இல்லாத ஒன்று என்று எல்லோர்க்கும் தெரியும். ஆனால் இந்த நாவல் சாத்தியம் என்கிறது.

எந்த ஒரு அநியாயத்திற்கும், அக்கிரமத்திற்கும் எல்லை உண்டு. இந்த சமுதாயத்தில் நடக்கும் சில அநீதிகளை நாம் கண்டும் காணாமலும் கடந்து போய்க்கொண்டு இருக்கிறோம். நம்மில் 90% பேர் அப்படித்தான் இருக்கிறார்கள். வெகு அரிதாக உள்ள 10% பேர் மட்டுமே துணிச்சலோடு முன்வந்து குரல் கொடுக்கிறார்கள். அந்த 10% பேரில் உள்ள ஒரு நான்கு பேரின் கதைதான் இந்த கோடு தாண்டாதே.

ஆக்டிங் ட்ரைவராக டாக்ஸி ஓட்டும் முத்துக்குமார் ஒரு பயணியை ஏற்றிக்கொண்டு போகும்போது நிகழும் ஒரு குற்ற நிகழ்வில் மாட்டிக்கொள்கிறான். மறுநாள் காலை பொழுது விடிவதற்குள் முத்துக்குமார் அந்த சிவப்பு இரவிலிருந்து எப்படி தப்பித்தான்? கேளுங்கள்.
