I was given a second chance at life. It has been a hard road. My life has been a battlefield. It has been a constant struggle, but I couldn’t be more grateful. This is my story.

Later that night Matthew walked into his room and a thought occurred to him. When he went to turn on a light he never wondered if the darkness would overpower the light. There wasn’t really a struggle between darkness and light or good and evil. This was life changing to him. Darkness is not the opposite of light. Darkness is the absence of light. Cold is not the opposite of heat. Cold is the absence of heat. You can’t add cold to something. You can only remove heat and cold is what is left. And evil is not the opposite of good. Evil is the absence of good.
