Apocalypse Redux

Isaac Thoma lived to see the last handful of survivors defeat the demonic champion. He is now alone, his past in ashes, the last and most powerful human on a blighted Earth. But what if he could go back? Hurled back in time, Isaac has one chance to change it all. A chance to warn humanity of their impending doom. A chance to stop the [System] before shortsightedness and lust for power can render humanity extinct.

Humanity might have died out once, but Isaac got a second chance at life, returning to the time when the [System] initialized. Grasping this chance with both hands, he worked tirelessly to bring his future knowledge to the masses, but even so, some disasters are inevitable.

The [System] was intended to be humanity’s salvation. But it turned out to be a double-edged sword that could just as easily lead to its destruction. Following a series of thankfully successful efforts in Europe, Isaac travels overseas to show the world new ways of leveling, gather new allies, and gain power in the dungeons that have cropped up.

Monsters that can destroy cities have appeared. The most highly leveled humans begin to abuse their power. And as levels rise, individual people start to reach the kind of power where they can rival militaries all by themselves. Time traveler Isaac Thoma has seen this dance before and vowed to never allow it to repeat itself, working tirelessly with his team to uncover the secrets of the System.

A major battle in downtown Hamburg has seen the metropolis practically leveled, demonstrating in the worst possible way how much power individuals can hold, and the world is reeling from the shock. But more members of the cult responsible for the catastrophe are still out there, and Isaac has resolved to hunt them all down, even if each attempt may unleash a fresh wave of violent calamity.

When magic came to the world the first time around, it gave humans the power to transcend all limits, but in the end, it became the tool that mankind used to destroy itself. And then, one man traveled back in time to try it all again. A colony has been put on the moon, the deepest seas are being explored, and new miracles are being created every other day. Yet in the shadows lurks a group that has decided Earth and its inhabitants are doomed and has sold out to dark forces beyond reality.

Without a common enemy to unite against, humanity teeters on the brink of self-destruction. Isaac has prevented one apocalypse, but now faces a more insidious threat: humanity itself. Grand plans for a perfect world are crumbling, and masterplans are failing as superpowers prove to be no cure-all. Societies are shattering under pressure, pushed to their breaking points.
