The only thing worse than a used car salesman showing up on your doorstep is finding one dead. After a scandalous divorce, Elise returns from the big city to her southern home town only to trip over the body of the town playboy. He leaves behind a heap of trouble that includes missing money, missing pets, and mourning lovers, and the suspects just keep piling up.

The only thing worse than a ship overrun with Elvis impersonators is having to find the missing one. When Elise Pepper decides to take a long overdue vacation, she discovers that her Caribbean cruise isn't going to be quite the relaxing trip she'd hoped for. Instead of enjoying a quiet getaway, she finds herself in the middle of a theme party. Who knew there were so many Elvises and Marilyn Monroes in the world?

When Elise takes a position at spooky old Montgomery Manor as companion to her friend Lavina's great aunt, she's expecting an easy job for the holidays. What she doesn't expect are dead bodies, ghosts and a murderer who's picked her as the next target. Delving into the secrets and tragedies of the past, her only clue is a doll's house from which pieces keep mysteriously disappearing.

When a bride turns up demanding a circus-themed wedding to honor her late father, things get a little crazy. Clowns instead of bridesmaids? A sword-swallower as celebrant? Elise is sure she can handle it all. A dead man in the wedding cake may be a little too much to deal with, though. Just when she thought she had it all together, Elise finds herself in the middle of yet another murder investigation. Can our intrepid heroine track down the killer before more wedding guests die?

Elise Pepper has landed her dream job at the Capture the Magic book store. Peace and quiet and thousands of books to herself - including a $2m first edition of Alice in Wonderland. What more could she ask for? It can't last of course. Her blissful solitude is rudely interrupted when someone turns the second floor of the building into a Down the Rabbit Hole-themed escape room. But the noise is the least of her worries - what's worse is the dead bank executive upstairs and the missing first edition. Now Elise is suspected of both theft and murder, even as the killer taunts her with Alice in Wonderland clues. Can she find out who did it before she takes the fall for the crime?

Elise Pepper has had dates ruined by cold-hearted men before, but she’s never had one quite this cold. Cold, as in dead. Instead of an evening of flirting and ice skating, Elise discovers the dead body of Mr. Hamilton, a mortgage broker with a reputation for shady deals...also known as the Ice-man. Apparently, the murderer had a sense of humor. Or irony. When Elise’s co-worker Sue turns out to be related to the dead man, Elise knows she has to help find the murderer.
