My professional career as an advertising copywriter for 25 years prepared me to write my book, "Boob in a Box—A Guide for Anyone Having a Mammogram." Getting a breast cancer diagnosis at age 59, surgery to remove both boobs, and having treatment, threw me off my game until I realized my sense of humor was the key to getting through it all. Born in Detroit and subsequently graduating from Michigan State University, I worked for ad agencies and Fortune 500 companies. I wanted to help women learn some information without getting overwhelmed by a diagnosis and all the information on the Internet. So enjoy my funny sense of humor by reading this book.
