Anita M. Pariseau was born in upstate New York where she made the Adirondack Mountains her playground. She lived in New England for 20 years before moving to Colorado in 2004. After working in higher education for 30 years, Anita is now a Colorado Springs-based writer, consultant, and world traveler, and is enjoying her freedom to work on choice projects while nurturing her love for nature and exploration. Anita has traveled around Colorado extensively during her 15 years of residency and has made Colorado Springs her home for the last six years. The city is a thriving metropolis at the base of Pikes Peak (“America’s Mountain”), home to several USA Olympic sport entities, and is a major gateway to Colorado’s scenic byways. In spite of the myth about Colorado being a cold, snowy place—which it can be at times—most days are sunny and dry, and the mountains are always inspiringly beautiful. In addition to exploring Colorado, Anita has traveled to 44 states and five continents. Her bucket list does not necessarily contain the six states she hasn’t visited as of yet; she doesn’t make lists just to conquer them, but rather she chooses places with true intention.
