BEATRICE RD HAIR dedicates her life to helping people achieve breakthroughs in health and education. In 1996 she founded the Salisbury Tutoring Academy, The One-on-One School (for ages four to adult) that offers individualized, customized programs. Mrs. Hair was the U.S. Small Business Administration's 2010 North Carolina Small Business Person of the Year. She also received the Congressional Recognition Award from Congressman Howard Coble. And in May of 2010, she was personally congratulated by President Barack Obama at the White House. In North Carolina, Mrs. Hair's successful work has been featured on Fox News Rising, the evening news on WGHP, WSOC, and on Channel 14. She was the nationally televised Icon for the University of Phoenix's School of Education for 2011 (NBC, CBS, ABC) for a whole year. She has also been featured in The Huffington Post and on National Public Radio. Beatrice earned a B.A. in Education with a minor in Health and Sports Science at Wake Forest University (1987). She has a Masters in Education from the University of Phoenix (2004). She has been an innovative educator for more than twenty-six years. Beatrice is a competitive athlete. She plays in an open women's soccer league and in men's coed soccer. She has won racquetball tournaments and also her first triathlon. Beatrice has not eaten sugar or genetically modified foods in three years.
