Irena Nieslony was born in England but has lived on the island of Crete, Greece since 2000. She has always loved to write, but began her working career as an actress and puppeteer, followed by a few years of office jobs and culminating in running a café bar with her husband at the marina where they lived on a large steel barge. Irena finally took the plunge and began sending her writing to publishers fifteen years ago and has had thousands of articles and short stories published, as well as fourteen novels. She is particularly known as a travel writer. Eleven of her novels feature amateur sleuth, Eve Masters, and many of these are set on the island of Crete. They were all published first as pocket novels by My Weekly and afterwards as E-books. They can also be found in libraries all over the UK. When not writing, Irena is kept busy looking after the many cats and dogs she has adopted from the numerous strays here in Crete.
