Lisa Haynes is a keen fitness enthusiast and author of Menopause and Intermittent Fasting: Melt Away Belly Fat and Take Back Control of Your Weight. Lisa was always an active person. She loved playing sports as a child and continued being active as an adult. This allowed her to maintain a healthy lifestyle and above all, a healthy weight. When menopause hit, Lisa was prepared for the hot flashes and irritability although this didn’t make it any easier. However, when she started to rapidly gain weight, she felt that after years of taking good physical care of herself, her body was now betraying her! Even exercising more didn’t help. This led Lisa to try all sorts of diets, but nothing made a difference. It wasn’t until she discovered intermittent fasting that Lisa was able to embrace menopause and take back control of many aspects of her life. As soon as Lisa began intermittent fasting, she noticed an improvement in her sleep and mood, making life so much easier, especially at work! What enabled Lisa to get her confidence back was losing weight and keeping that weight off! Almost half the world is made up of women and at some point, each one of those women is going to go through menopause. Lisa wants to take her own experiences with intermittent fasting to help other women feel empowered at this stage of their lives and not like they are fighting a losing battle. By sharing her knowledge, Lisa hopes that not only women of a special age can benefit but they can also pass this wisdom on to their own daughters, and together, we can remove the stigma and fear of menopause!
