DISCUSSING MENTAL HEALTH

  • Résumé

  • Hello and welcome to Discussing Mental Health. Our aim is to reduce the distress of troubled minds by creating a safe environment free from judgment and discrimination, we enable individuals to heal themselves in the process of speaking up about their lived experiences with mental health. In the course of Discussing Mental Health podcasts, we captivate and uncover a person's thoughts, feelings, symptoms and lived experience with mental health. Human beings are capable of healing themselves through talking, and talking is cathartic, meaning purification or cleansing, it is essentially a form of free therapy! which is why we strongly encourage people to speak up about their experiences as this is not only beneficial to the listener but for the speaker even more so. Talking openly about painful experiences has the ability to temporarily elevate and relieve any undesirable emotions and helps reduce feelings of distress. Metaphorically speaking, just as a juicer machine is used to extract juices from fruits or vegetables, talking essentially helps drain and extract the problems straight out of your brain!   Until then, stay kind to your mind ❤
