Family Holiday Boundaries Worksheet Understanding Boundaries A boundary is a limit or rule you set for yourself in relationships. It defines what behavior you will or won't accept from others, and how you'll respond. Boundaries are not:
- Threats or ultimatums
- Ways to control others
- Punishments
Boundaries differ from consequences in that:
- Boundaries are rules you set for yourself
- Consequences are actions you take when boundaries are crossed
Step 1: Identify Your Needs and Limits Reflect on past family holiday experiences. List 3-5 situations that caused you stress or discomfort:
