    Jan 6 2022
Ella Borg is a rising star in the Melbourne art scene. They touch all corners of our community through dynamic and refreshing work - often pulling on personal and sensory experience.
With a portfolio that constantly diversifying, Ella has championed using the tools at hand and creating something that is unique to themselves. Now, a highly sought after creator, they juggle their time between designing, photographing, merchandising, video editing, and public relations - just to name a few. Spinning many plates, Ella has found themselves collaborating with some of the most unique brands and artists across Australia, with the most recent collaboration being with POSMO (a sex toy concept store inspired by queer theory) to create a series of prints. Ella discusses how the ‘untitled’ series was set to explore the link between gender indentity and sexual identity with neurodivergent individuals.

Across their instagram you’ll find plenty of process videos and imagery, Ella calls out that they draw a lot of inspiration from digital platforms used and always want to make the most of the tools on hand. This results in a unique and very internet inspired aesthetic - one they link back to find their identity through internet culture.

Ella dropped into the studio to chat about coming out via the internet, the superpowers of being a neurodivergent artist, and how to value yourself as an up and coming artist.

  • Madison Griffiths
    Nov 4 2021
Madison Griffiths is a Melbourne creator who wears many hats - tattoo artist, journalist, podcast producer just to name a few.

With a career that is constantly changing and becoming more nuanced, Madison has quickly become one of the champion voices for important and taboo topics. After recently diving head first into the tattoo world she has released season two of ‘Tender’ on Broadwave podcast network, providing a raw and vulnerable look into life after an abusive relationship. Madison has been working as a freelance journalist for the past few years, partnering often with Vice Australia, covering a range of topics like the march for men, and red pilled women.

Being adapt at handling challenging topics and throwing herself in the deep end, she has carved herself a space as a writer with a unique voice and thought provoking sentiment.

Tender season one walked us through a confronting and vulnerable experience in which Madison escaped an abusive relationship, season two finds Mads in producer chair with co-producer of Tender, Beth Atkinson Quinton (@bethaq) who is also the host of @theglasshouse.rrras - as we follow the story of Roia Atmar and her experience. We were floored at the production quality the team behind Tender have delivered, more importantly though, floored at the genuine, at times scary, impactful story that the season shares with us. It left me with a feeling of responsibility of care for those around us and a greater understanding of the real horror that can happen in any home.

We were lucky enough to spend an hour with her and listen to her exciting tattoo career, a few hilarious anecdotes of her time as a journalist, and a thorough walk through on Tender and domestic abuse. Tender is available on Apple Podcasts and Spotify with a weekly release schedule. You can start your listening journey here.

You can keep up to date with Mads through Instagram.

  • Lockdown Blues
    Sep 24 2021
This month we tackled the podcast a little differently. We’ve all been impacted by lockdown in a variety of ways - Adrian and Darcy catch up to talk about how they are experiencing the current lockdown, we both share personal ways we have been looking after our own mental health. We’re also joined by Zara, a registered psychologist, to ask some burning questions about the impact lockdown is having on our generations. Additionally, Zara shares a curated list of free support networks we can all access if you’ve had your mental health impacted in any way. Please look after yourself and check in with your friends and family - we all don’t need to go through this alone and will get through it. This podcast was recorded on the lands of the Wurundjeri people of the eastern Kulin nation, and we wish to acknowledge them as the traditional owners.
