Bipolar is a serious mental disorder that exhibits itself as serious emotional ups and downs, or mood swings. Bipolar disorder is a mental health condition that causes changes in an individual’s energy, behavior, sleep, judgment, mood, and ability to function. Individuals with bipolar disorder experience intense mood episodes that can include emotional highs (mania or hypomania) and lows (depression).
