Weeks of pulling humans together and using his class to build a new safe home were shattered when everyone should have been celebrating. Maulkin and his Eternal allies may have just caused the apocalypse, but at least they’re doing it with style. The Voidgod is back and the Alvaren Queen is now convinced that Maulkin is the second coming of the Voidgod himself, but at least they have the totally awesome magic sword made out of the weapon that put the big bad down for a long nap last time! No wait, they don’t. The first thing Araphel did after stretching and yawning was to turn it to dust.

After successfully ranking up together with the rest of the Happy Sunflowers, Arek and his party are ready to kick back and enjoy some much needed relaxation. However, they can't can't seem to stay out of trouble for long. After mistakenly angering a ruthless guild, they are forced to flee Riverfall. They set off for Red Mount, hoping to wait out the storm, but an even greater threat lies in wait for them. Arek's old life threatens to spill out into his new one as the magical runes he had destroyed slowly gain power once more, but he's determined to keep cooking for those in need.

The water-drake rebellion dies with their leader Khlokun. However, the final battle against the revolutionary's party leaves Ben sorely injured and Sio with one of her key Attributes swapped for a strange power she can barely control. Right as Ben's party obtains their hard-earned victory, a Legion descends upon the Olerrak Marshes, capturing them so Ben can stand trial at the sprawling city of Incos, the capital of the Goldmark Tetrarchy.

They'll grapple with friendly sharktopuses, evil emperors, and what it means to be a person.

I guess you could call my latest job interview a success. I got hired, and it's way beyond my wildest dreams. The pay isn't great. And the hours are pretty much 24/7. But there's magic. And a portal to a fantasy world. Those kind of outweigh the negatives. At first, I thought I was just testing the latest VR survival RPG, but I'm starting to think this might not be a game after all. The monsters are definitely life-like and capable of carving me apart on their worst days. But on their best days, I make them mine.

This time, they must deal with ghouls, golems, and a very musically inspired tarasque. Meanwhile, another group of adventurers is on a quest to recover the book and will do everything necessary to get the book for themselves.

I guess trying to catch the bus with your laces undone isn’t such a smart decision after all… One fatal collision later, and I’m facing my judgment. As it turns out, I’ve been a lazy sob, and my short, uneventful life of playing games and getting up late wasn’t worth much. And so I don’t qualify to move on to the afterlife. I try to argue to the goddess in front of me that I do have skills, that it was hard work playing those simulation and management games. But she will not concede. In the end, I manage to get the benefit of the doubt, and a wager is made.
