Publisher's Summary

A Happy Pocket Full of Money, first published in 2001, so impressed Rhonda Byrne, that she asked author David Cameron Gikandi to be the Creative Consultant on the global film phenomenon, The Secret.

True wealth is not about buckets of cash. True wealth is not about designer clothes. It is not about a new Mercedes. It is not about living in a palatial estate. True wealth is about discovering value within yourself and value within other people. It is about a kind of conscious living that incorporates gratitude, a belief in abundance, and the experience of joy. Based on the recent discoveries of theoretical physics and a close reading of inspirational classics of the last century, Gikandi creates a new model for the creation of personal wealth; a new model that shows readers how to create abundance by saving, giving, offering charity, and building happy relationships.

  • Learn to use an internal mantra to build wealth consciousness.
  • Practice conscious and deliberate thoughts and intentions.
  • Decide, define, and set goals you can believe in.
  • Practice gratitude, giving, and faith, and experience abundance and joy in your life.

A must listen to those who need a different perspective on money

I have had a couple of businesses and partnerships and just could not seem to reach my revenue goals both personally and in business and this book provided me a different way of thinking about money and my relationship with it. Definitely going to implement some of the lessons here. Book seemed old with static in the background but overall I very much enjoyed it.

Money is energy

This book was recommended to me by the amazing woman who helped me start my virtual assistant business. I did not realize this book would be so much about physics and god but I listened to the end because I hate leaving things unfinished. Towards the end there are more tips that are actually pretty useful that I will start applying in my life. I will also start using the affirmation “I love money and money loves me”. At some point I might listen to this book again but it likely won’t be for years to come. It’s a good book to dip your toe in the water of money literature.

Definitely need to listen more than once

Played from a cd recording.

Was a little hard to follow along, but understood the gist.

Will definitely listen to it again.

Good content, variable recording

Good content. Lots to think about and re-read, re-listen to.

Narrator did an okay job however there was a lot of background noise and humming (machine?) throughout the recording. Very distracting. This is not to the usual standard of Audible.

Paradigm Change

Of all the books I have read/listened for self-help, this was by far the most completely integrated. Once I understood how quantum mechanics and certainty worked together to alter reality, it brought 40 years of life experience together. SO much more than a how to make more money book. Highly recommended.

Rewarding message

The overall message of the book is great, offering valuable insight into quantum physics and the concept of space and time without being confusing. I found significant insight into unraveling the layers of our reality and the practice of manifesting that I hope to carry forward in my own experiences. I did find the book did drag in certain chapters with some repeating information and I agree that it could have been shortened or revised a bit.

The narration is just ok, as others as mentioned you can hear some background noise and it's a recording that was obviously done many years ago. I also found the reader lacking in emotion, he spoke in a monotone voice and seemed to stumble over some parts in a halting sort of voice that was just odd..

I think i would recommend the book over the audio version.

Good message but dragged out

I found that this book held a really great message however it was really repetitive in execution. This book could have been about 1/3 in length. Other then the length though I greatly enjoyed the general message which is that a lot of us live in a poverty mindset when it comes to money. We fear money so money fears us and doesn’t come to us as easy. Or rather it feels like it slips through our fingers. I think what we need if better financial literacy & this should be a mandatory course taught in schools.
