The Heresy Begins

Things have been building up over the last two books to bring us to this moment. Galaxy in Flames tells the story of Horus' betrayal and the brutal battle of Istvan 3.

Again, awesome voice acting. Toby Longworth does a great job Narrating and voicing the characters. It is a joy to listen to and the story is also entertaining.

A lot more fighting in this one. If that's your cup of tea.

A great story of the grim dark future...

An amazing story well written and read, would highly recommend it to long time fans, or anyone new to 40K.

Great story, better narrator

Toby Longworth should do all of GW's novels. Top tier narrator. The story is the type that makes you root for the protagonists even when you know, from the game's lore, that they're doomed. Somehow you still hold out hope.

LET THE GALAXY BURN!!!!!!!

#Audible1 This book picks up where the second one left off with another change in authors. Ben Counter did a fine job in writing this story and is able to capture the personal drama of those loyalists struggling to survive in a fleet filled with traitors and agents of the Chaos entities. the book sets up a number of story arcs that will come to the forefront of the series several books later however it is this book that begins the divergence of many different tales that must be told. Toby Longworth is again at the narration helm and as always brings his dramatic presentation to bare giving to the story a sense of dramatic storytelling that few other narrators can. I found the book to be a very good listen. A must for those who wish to know what happened at Istivan 3

Darkness falls

An intense trilogy finale!! This has the most horror and brutality of the first three books. There is a nice feel of darkness gathering behind the scenes and the growing sense that something is going deeply wrong until it's all unleashed at the end.

You can feel the desperation of the human characters as they struggle to comprehend what is happening. Watching the growing rift between the Astartes characters has a true sense of loss.

Darkness is falling yet there are slivers of hope as some still chose to fight on in the name of loyalty!
