Why does the narrator give hollander’s parents a southern accent?? Totally weird. Took me out of the moment completely.

Love the story and everything about it. The narrator was fine for most of it, but I couldn't get over how he made Ilya sound like Dracula 🤣 also, some of the pronunciation was off, like "Regina" was slightly annoying. Overall very good!!

I love the story of these two men falling in love over the course of many years. From hormone driven youth to mature hockey stars finding their way to a shared truth. Brilliantly written.

I love all of Rachel Reid's hockey novels. the characters, the stories... amazing!
As a Canadian, I found the narrator's mispronunciations of Canadian placenames jarred me out of the flow of the story, especially "Regina"! I would think the name of a city would be easy to research..... :( Saskatchewan I can forgive, even Canadian's have trouble getting it correct. I thought the Russian accent was just "okay".
