About this listen

The former head of the Pentagon program responsible for the investigation of UFOsnow known as Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP)reveals long-hidden truths with profound implications for not only national security but our understanding of the universe.

Luis “Lue” Elizondo is a former senior intelligence official and special agent who was recruited into a strange and highly sensitive US Government program to investigate UAP incursions into sensitive military installations and air space. To accomplish his mission, Elizondo had to rely on decades of experience gained working some of America’s most sensitive and classified programs. Even then, he was not prepared for what he would learn, and the truth about the government’s long shadowy involvement in UAP investigations, and the lengths officials would take to keep them a secret.

The stakes could not be higher. Imminent is a first-hand, revelatory account inside the Pentagon’s most closely guarded secret and a call to action to confront humanity’s greatest existential questions.

Editorial Review

Are aliens real?
I’m I’m what you might call alien agnostic. I’ve never worn a tinfoil hat. I’ve never watched The X Files. But I am a Jodie Foster fan, and as her character in Contact argues, the sheer vastness of the universe makes it a reasonable bet that there are other life-forms out there. But I never put much thought into it beyond that. Then, in 2017, The New York Times dropped its bombshell report that there was a secret Pentagon program investigating UFOs, and that US Navy pilots had witnessed flying objects that seemed to have inexplicable technological capabilities. The Pentagon has been tamping down the story ever since, saying there’s no evidence of “off-world technology.” But then again, the Pentagon isn’t known for being super forthright. All of this is to say, I am highly anticipating the release of Imminent, the ominously titled book from Luis Elizondo, a whistleblower and former director of the Pentagon program charged with investigating UFOs, now called “unidentified anomalous phenomenon.” So, hold on to your tinfoil hats, this listen may have a few bombshells of its own.— Phoebe N., Audible Editor

Mind blowing honesty

This book will come to be known as world changing. Luis Elizondo’s candour and honesty is riveting and mind blowing. He’s also written it in a way that makes a complicated topic, such a military hierarchy and process, understandable to the regular citizen. He covers the history of UFOs, past and present, with enough detail and science that should make the most uniformed person stand up and take notice, a true gift to humanity, and to the truth. Shame on us all for not listening and allowing forces in the government and the media to cover up this topic, in the past, the present and no doubt the future.

Lue is a Patriot

Great personal story about how Lue came about the topic of UAPs and confirmation / compelling evidence that we are truly not alone. A must listen. Thanks to Lue for being brave enough to bring this vital information into the consciousness of humanity.

Worthwhile

Nothing I haven’t heard before so I guess I’m more woke than I realized. I know there’s more to this dimension than they want us to believe. We are immortal. Big foot is inter dimensional just like UFOs. Read some John Keele.

Amazing but disappointing errors in final productt

Wasn't sure how I felt about this but by chapter three I was glad I bought it. But for a major publishing house to put out a product that just to the end of the third chapter has editing mistakes, multiple takes off the same content repeating, and huge energy jumps between lines in the same paragraph is sloppy to a degree I expect NOT to see in a major publisher.
I'm fact every chapter thru the third exhibited one or all of is these edit & protection 'fails' .. including several in the Chris Mellon forward, and Lue's preface.

I rated the performance low not because of Luis, , but the bad producing.. it's "D" level of not "F" from whoever has the nerve to charge somebody for this.

(I do this work too guys reach out, I could have assembled an error free final product for you! Reach out. 😆)

But seriously, I would be embarrassed to publish this material on here myself.

Now Luis' book? The content,? I'm riveted and have already committed a second listen... If you can put up with the poor production quality, the book itself is good.

On a related note, bad form for Audible to source this and approve it with out even a cursory listen. C'mon guys you wouldn't accept this from a KDP -> ACX publisher ! why from a major publisher whose work *should be* flawless??

I hope someone sees this and pulls this audio back and fixes it. This is amateur hour in the production.

Superb

Lue's voice is very pleasant to listen to and the information provided in this book is delivered in detailed managable chunks. All information in this book gives a great overview of the phenomenon we are dealing with from a man that had the need to know. No woo woo stuff, every scientific theory provided is clearly explained and makes sense based of the incident descriptions provided in the first dozen chapters. I am very impressed and look forward to seeing what he does in the future.

Outstanding oral history of UAP history

UAP are real. The phenomenon is real. Lou and his evidence support this conclusion. This may be the most important discovery of the 21st century.

Incredibly disappointing

Not the book…the book is fine. Definitely not groundbreaking…essentially just a rehash of some cherry picked encounters that push a narrative and Lou’s personal story.

The disappointing part is that even people like Lou, with high level access…have no idea what’s really going on.

This book is less informative than Corso’s ‘96 ‘Day After Roswell’. In almost 30 years, we’ve actually gone backwards with disclosure.

This is simply stalling. There is no disclosure happening.

There absolutely are people on this planet that have direct access to actual civilization-changing technology and knowledge.

Mr. Elizondo is obviously not one of those people. And honestly it doesn’t seem he or anyone on his level are even close to it.

This slow drip disclosure is just giving the gatekeepers time to smuggle the evidence deeper and deeper.

I suppose this book can serve as a UAP 101 for newbies into the genre.

But honestly I’d recommend the much shorter, entertaining and more revealing documentary ‘The Phenomenon’ by James Fox.

This isn’t a negative review of the book. The book is ok. But the hype is ridiculous.

There was no proof. No revelations. No new stories or evidence. Nothing to move the needle at all.

I was genuinely excited about this…but the reason DOPSR approved it, is because you can find all the stuff in the book on the internet in a 30 minute search.

Real disclosure will NOT come from the government.
