Publisher's Summary

The former head of the Pentagon program responsible for the investigation of UFOsnow known as Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP)reveals long-hidden truths with profound implications for not only national security but our understanding of the universe.

Luis “Lue” Elizondo is a former senior intelligence official and special agent who was recruited into a strange and highly sensitive US Government program to investigate UAP incursions into sensitive military installations and air space. To accomplish his mission, Elizondo had to rely on decades of experience gained working some of America’s most sensitive and classified programs. Even then, he was not prepared for what he would learn, and the truth about the government’s long shadowy involvement in UAP investigations, and the lengths officials would take to keep them a secret.

The stakes could not be higher. Imminent is a first-hand, revelatory account inside the Pentagon’s most closely guarded secret and a call to action to confront humanity’s greatest existential questions.

Editorial Review

Are aliens real?
I’m I’m what you might call alien agnostic. I’ve never worn a tinfoil hat. I’ve never watched The X Files. But I am a Jodie Foster fan, and as her character in Contact argues, the sheer vastness of the universe makes it a reasonable bet that there are other life-forms out there. But I never put much thought into it beyond that. Then, in 2017, The New York Times dropped its bombshell report that there was a secret Pentagon program investigating UFOs, and that US Navy pilots had witnessed flying objects that seemed to have inexplicable technological capabilities. The Pentagon has been tamping down the story ever since, saying there’s no evidence of “off-world technology.” But then again, the Pentagon isn’t known for being super forthright. All of this is to say, I am highly anticipating the release of Imminent, the ominously titled book from Luis Elizondo, a whistleblower and former director of the Pentagon program charged with investigating UFOs, now called “unidentified anomalous phenomenon.” So, hold on to your tinfoil hats, this listen may have a few bombshells of its own.— Phoebe N., Audible Editor

Mind blowing honesty

This book will come to be known as world changing. Luis Elizondo’s candour and honesty is riveting and mind blowing. He’s also written it in a way that makes a complicated topic, such a military hierarchy and process, understandable to the regular citizen. He covers the history of UFOs, past and present, with enough detail and science that should make the most uniformed person stand up and take notice, a true gift to humanity, and to the truth. Shame on us all for not listening and allowing forces in the government and the media to cover up this topic, in the past, the present and no doubt the future.

It's like a 10hr podcast with Lue!

Fascinating stuff! My favorite parts are not about the UAPs themselves but rather all the intricate details of pentagon bureaucracy and obfuscation attempts... all BEFORE the public even knew who Lue Elizondo was. Lue has previously hinted at some of these in the past but this time he went even further by naming the individuals involved. Quite a bold move! We also get a look into the "disclosure masterplan" crafted by Lue, Jay Stratton, & Christopher Mellon in order to get Congress involved. I've been following the disclosure efforts from the outside since 2017 so it's great to finally hear it from an inside perspective.

Lue is a Patriot

Great personal story about how Lue came about the topic of UAPs and confirmation / compelling evidence that we are truly not alone. A must listen. Thanks to Lue for being brave enough to bring this vital information into the consciousness of humanity.

Worthwhile

Nothing I haven’t heard before so I guess I’m more woke than I realized. I know there’s more to this dimension than they want us to believe. We are immortal. Big foot is inter dimensional just like UFOs. Read some John Keele.

Amazing but disappointing errors in final productt

Wasn't sure how I felt about this but by chapter three I was glad I bought it. But for a major publishing house to put out a product that just to the end of the third chapter has editing mistakes, multiple takes off the same content repeating, and huge energy jumps between lines in the same paragraph is sloppy to a degree I expect NOT to see in a major publisher.
I'm fact every chapter thru the third exhibited one or all of is these edit & protection 'fails' .. including several in the Chris Mellon forward, and Lue's preface.

I rated the performance low not because of Luis, , but the bad producing.. it's "D" level of not "F" from whoever has the nerve to charge somebody for this.

(I do this work too guys reach out, I could have assembled an error free final product for you! Reach out. 😆)

But seriously, I would be embarrassed to publish this material on here myself.

Now Luis' book? The content,? I'm riveted and have already committed a second listen... If you can put up with the poor production quality, the book itself is good.

On a related note, bad form for Audible to source this and approve it with out even a cursory listen. C'mon guys you wouldn't accept this from a KDP -> ACX publisher ! why from a major publisher whose work *should be* flawless??

I hope someone sees this and pulls this audio back and fixes it. This is amateur hour in the production.

Well written, but not much new.

If you have been following the slow drip drip of disclosure and you are familiar with David Grusch and Lue’s many interviews you won’t find much new information here. It was interesting to get a glimpse into the behind the scenes machinations of the intelligence community and the many secret programs that are fighting for funding. I did eventually get lost in the many acronyms and names of staff but overall it is well written and accessible. There is an excellent chapter on how the UAP technology may work which I quite enjoyed. If you are new to the topic or a superfan of Lue then you will enjoy this book.
