An overall eye-opening experience

This isn't my first self-help book but it is my first audio book. The author is fun to listen to and the advice and information is easily digestible while also penetrating through the "nice person's" mindset. Definitely recommend.

Excellent!!

Great book! One of the most important learnings for me what’s that nice doesn’t equal good. It’s better for you AND for others if you aren’t “nice.” But that was just one of many learnings in this book! Highly recommend!

Amazing book. I'm glad I discovered it.

I love how Dr. Aziz elaborates on the topic so you understand it and gives you ton of examples of how it can be done. Through many examples he gives I found other ways of handling things with out feeling anxious or guilty. Saying No and being not nice is possible with out damaging relationship which was my fear for so long. Now I see how it can improve relationships by being more authentic real, human, and have something to add instead of just agreeing out of fear of being left alone if you disagree or offend others.
Thank you Dr Aziz for the amazing contribution to people's lives and changing it for better!

Every “nice” person MUST READ THIS BOOK!

I’ve already recommended this book to every “nice” person I know. It is by far the best audiobook I have ever listened to and has completely transformed my perspective and mindset just by listening to it. I love that the author narrated it himself. It makes it so much more engaging to hear the author’s tone and how he intended it to be read. This book totally read my mind and knew all my thoughts and fears! Don’t skip the activities!! Make the lists. They are important later!

Absolutely delightful

Honestly, I did not expect it to be this good.
After exploring this book I would recommend it to anyone that has a hard time saying "No" or has a habit of people please. Yes, I was that person. This book will change you in so many ways that you did not expect (in a wonderful way)

if you're unsure, just get it

Loved it gave me new perspective on how I deal with situations. It's funny I knew I was a people pleaser but mostly with Friends and Spouses. I didn't realize how I could improve that and tell myself it was okay to say no and not feel guilty when I did. It was a little rough when it got to the not talking to people that are attractive or pushing back at work but really it was only because they don't relate to me and gave me good resources I didn't think of.

Very helpful / 5 hours too long though

Changed my approach to assertiveness and people pleasing. Helped me a great deal. The last 5 hours can be totally cut. I want to get Azusa other books but have trepidation to once again do 16-18 hours when the main point is fully resolved in the first 10

Best performance by author!

Probably the best book I've listened to about people pleasing. So informative and Aziz shows his passion and humor through his enthusiastic narration!

Great book

This book is the best book i've read so far about confidence . The tips and exercises of Dr Aziz actually gave me the courage to write this review (loll)) . The book is easy to listen . The exercises are great . The narrative is interesting and the life examples are well choosen . I particularly love the transparency of Dr Aziz . I recommended this book to those who are just starting their self esteem journey and also to those who have been doing it for a few years now ...new tips and reminders are always good .
