About this listen
Some things are easily forgiven. Other things...not so much.
Lenny DeMaio made herself a promise: She was done.
Done thinking about him.
Done worrying about him.
Done reaching out to a man who clearly didn’t want to be found.
Too bad no one gave Jonah Collins the memo.

Long beginning but gets better, sweet story
The beginning was excruciatingly slow, long and confusing but it got much better after. Listening to Leny complain constantly was annoying and painful. The first part of the story could’ve been much shorter. The story was sweet but there was zero sexual energy or attraction going on between the main characters until much much later and there was almost no emphasis on it. The best part of the book is the family dynamic between Grandpa Guss, Peter and Leny. These three are hilarious. They are as blunt as you can get and their banter is very funny.

I loved listening to this audiobook!
Not only is the narrator, Callie Dalton, back in action, but she’s acting beside Calum Gittins who really brings soft, sweet (and sometimes assertive) Jonah Collins to life. The fact that they got an actor from New Zealand to play him is amazing and I loved every minute of it.
I’ve read the story before, so it mostly wasn’t a surprise. I did forget a few scenes, but I’m really glad I got to read the blow out scene at home, where I could absolutely lose my shit laughing in private (I usually listen to audiobooks on walks).
If you love slow-burn romances and audiobooks, I highly recommend checking out The Best Thing by Mariana Zapata!
