About this listen
Having inspired a classic film and Broadway play, The Caine Mutiny is Herman Wouk's boldly dramatic, brilliantly entertaining novel of life—and mutiny—on a Navy warship in the Pacific theater. It was immediately embraced upon its original publication as one of the first serious works of American fiction to grapple with the moral complexities and the human consequences of the Second World War. In the intervening half century, this gripping story has become a perennial favorite, selling millions throughout the world, and claiming the Pulitzer Prize for fiction.

Second time around for me
Herman Wouk.....a lost treasure. What a brilliant, brilliant author! I have many titles amongst Audible books, but this surely is one of my most precious. Kevin Pariseau is nothing short of BRILLIANT in his performance, absolutely brilliant. I could not recommend this book more highly.

Read it
Don’t know why I waited so long to read this book. It is a fantastic novel that builds a window into the past to a war and a navy we could never know otherwise. The characters with all their flaws and charms will stay with you. It’s a long listen and a am thankful that it was. Narrator did an incredible job.
