Really enjoying this series

I liked this book quite a bit. There was a lot that happened and it did not feel like it dragged at all.

Plenty of interesting powers and power ups. I love the social interactions the MC has with other people. His internal monolog is hilarious.

Looking forward to the next one.

Improved writing, engaging characters

Zogarth’s writing has noticeably improved starting with this book, as the characters grow much more complex and interesting. POV-switching to a new character was one of the main things that made book 1 feel slow to me, but from here on new characters are introduced in such an interesting way that I am hooked from the first sentence! I was disappointed when the book ended, and immediately bought the next in the series :)

Great signature title in the genre

This is a great example of good LitRPG. Straight forward, great system, non cringe MC.

Almost 5 stars

I really like this series, narrator and author, most of it is great. I do have more of a concern more than a dislike with this book.

If you are on book 2 then there is no need to go over all the good this series has to offer. My concern starts near the last 5 hours of this book, my issue is the author is introducing new characters that I personally am not a fan of that had absolutely nothing to do with the story up to this point, out of nowhere the author just dumps them in your lap with a quick backstory for each and then nothing!? I really hope book 3 is not filled with the author constantly switching to and from all these random characters, because that is a huge deal breaker for me. Anyways hope you enjoy book 2

Book well worth it

I like comedy aspects in the otherwise cold and unforgiving world. Also, characters are relatable with flaws as well as their redeeming qualities. The only downside are the descriptions of the protagonist's character sheet. As the story progresses with more and more content added, his character description becomes longer and longer (something that can't really be fixed considered the genre of the book)

Good

This is a good story, but the pacing on this was a little slow. I am somewhat tired of the Jake/Jacob bit. It would have been better if the character names weren't so similar.
