I loved the depth of the characters in this novel. I thoroughly enjoyed the narration and performance as well as the story.

this book was an emotionally compelling found-family setup and two wounded adults learning to risk love again. Hugo and Gwen did not fully sweep me away as a romance, but the Survivors themselves immediately hooked me.

A solid start to the Survivors’ Club series

Although at times I thought the caracters were exagerating the reasons why they couldn't marry, I still loved their dept and thoughtfullness. Narrator's voice, although good, sounded a little old to represent two young people.
Aside from that, I loved it and will re-listen!
