About this listen

A tender addition to the #1 New York Times bestselling Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas, bridging the events of A Court of Wings and Ruin and upcoming audiobooks.

Feyre, Rhysand, and their friends are still busy rebuilding the Night Court and the vastly altered world beyond, recovering from the war that changed everything. But Winter Solstice is finally approaching, and with it, the joy of a hard-earned reprieve.

Yet even the festive atmosphere can't keep the shadows of the past from looming. As Feyre navigates her first Winter Solstice as High Lady, her concern for those dearest to her deepens. They have more wounds than she anticipated-scars that will have a far-reaching impact on the future of their court.

A Court of Frost and Starlight explores the far-reaching effects of a devastating war and the fierce love between friends.

Performed by Melody Muze, Anthony Palmini, Colleen Delany, Jon Vertullo, Amanda Forstrom, Shawn K. Jain, Nora Achrati, Karenna Foley, Gabriel Michael, Natalie Van Sistine, Eva Wilhelm, Henry W. Kramer, Bianca Bryan, Renee Dorian, Matthew Bassett, Rob McFadyen, Ryan Carlo Dalusung, Yasmin Tuazon, Matthew Schleigh, Nanette Savard, Dan Delgado, Michael John Casey, Alejandro Ruiz, and Samantha Cooper.

Cute little story

It’s a cute story for around winter time. The cast recording is a great way to read a book it really adds to the story.

"Filler episode"-type installment, but enjoyable.

This little dip into their lives between the struggles of war and healing was enjoyable for what it was. Not my favourite out of the whole series, but I also don't think it's meant to be anything more than a little bonus content for those who really enjoy the series. Take it for what it is, and you'll thoroughly enjoy it.

Feyre and Rhysand are wonderful

Seeing their story have a full circle ending was wonderful and satisfying. I cannot wait for the next graphic audio installment. Please be sure to finish the rest of the stories in this series!

What?

I’m so annoyed that this was a separate book….
This could have just been part of ACOSF

a typical Christmas/Solstice story

it's a nice little side trip of a story, kind of a gift to the readers. I don't typically read Christmas stories but there was interesting side stories that I suspect will carry through to the next book.

Great book just confusing narrative

I’m just confused on the narrative. It bounces back & fourth from Ferye, Rhysand & this third that sounds like it should be Feyre speaking but it is a different voice actor I found it a little confusing & hard to follow at some points

Different from the rest

Still the same soul but different heart of the story. It took a minute to get used to the change in pace for nesta but I might love nesta more than faera

it was ok

I feel like this book didn't really need to be written, I know it's suppose to connect to the 5th book, but I felt like it could have just been a part of the 5th book, I also didn't care for the narrator. I'd prefer each character to narrate their own scene.

More of the same, but not as lame.

Referring to these books as a "slow burn" is a little misleading. It's more like reheating leftovers in the microwave; it seems to take forever, and theres only a hint of flavor left in an otherwise same old, repetition.

On a good note, this book was at a more suitable length and didn't drone on nearly as much. But it's a heavy eye roll for me, as it just perpetuates that fantasy that everyone woman denies having... the brooding, muscled up, wealthy male that just grovels and drools over her "flawlessness".

Kudos to the author for doing what they love, it obviously speaks to a large demographic, may as well keep cashing in!

A nice finish to the previous triology

I read the book and was looking forward to this graphic audio. I love the cast, they bring the story to life. This novella felt like a big hug after everything the characters went through.
I highly recommend these dramatized versions of A Court of Thorns and Roses. And I definitely look forward to the next adaptation, A Court of Silver Flames.
