Better than the first book

I really enjoyed the setting. It’s a bit of a slow burn plot wise, the author is putting the pieces on the board and the villain is a lurking shadow for most of the book but the world building is very entertaining and kept me engaged.

Good story but the narration…

Really good story but found it very disappointing that a story set in London is narrated by Americans. They were good but I expected British accents for British characters. Should have stayed with the narrator of the first book.

it really left me wanting

I felt i really took a chance on this title. Its first book was middling to me in terms of character and voice acting performance but it showed promise in its third half. Unfortunately, the same seems to have happened here. The book seems to only really get started in the third half and before that the angsty Mc and his Manic Pixie Dreamgirl counterpart can get rather tiring.
