I have a few Audible credits to use and as soon as I saw this was narrated by David Suchet himself, I knew this would be good. I feel like the Hercule Poirot books have been lagging recently, but I feel this one made up for it. I don't know if it was the change in format, but I really enjoyed it!

I've read this book in the past, so I know it is a solid Agatha Christie mystery. Unfortunately I wouldn't know that from this recording. David Suchet though an excellent actor and otherwise credible voice actor has taken the direction in the text too literally. It does the listening audience no good at all when the voice actor whispers half the dialogue. We do need to actually hear the words. Half the characters are described as whispering or softly spoken. Story ruined. I will be returning this.
