About this listen

The Dungeon is a place of magic and mystery, a vast branching, underground labyrinth that has changed the world and the people who dare to enter its depths. Those who brave its challenges are rewarded with wealth, fame, and powerful classes that set them apart from the rest.

Ken was determined to follow the footsteps of his family and become one of the greatest adventurers the world has ever known. He knows that the only way to do that is to get into one of the esteemed Dungeon colleges, where the most promising young adventurers gather.

Despite doing fantastic on the entrance exam, when his class is revealed, everyone turns their backs on him, all except for one.

The most powerful adventurer, Crimson, invites him to the one college he never thought he’d enter. Haylon, an all girls college.

Ken sets out to put together a party and master the skills he'll need to brave the Dungeon's endless dangers. But he soon discovers that the path ahead is far more perilous than he could have ever imagined.

Addicting ! Way better than I was expecting.

The cover is what first caught my eye, as covers are supposed to do, and I thought the story sounded interesting and thought I would give it a try. The story is a very cool blend of Fantasy and Gaming...so if you are a Gamer, you will get all the references laced throughout. It took no time at all to get caught up in the the central character, Ken, and his acceptance into one of the premier academies, which turns out to be an all girls school. The author has created a unique world and it does not take long for the characters to grab hold of you. The girl characters are strong and unique in their own way. It is very much a male fantasy for sure, but it is written very well with a nice blend of humor. It has been quite some time since a book has had me laughing this much. I quickly finished this book and the rest in the series and have since also taken on Ard's Oath and Dragon Justice while waiting for more booked to get done in Audio. The Dual Narrative of a guy doing the guy characters and a female doing the females is a very nice touch and both Lewis and Rozelyn do an incredible job handling the characters and making them very memorable. Definitely check out the whole series...and you will be looking for more from this author, as I found myself doing.
